There are two opportunities for colored pencil workshops in June, check out the information below:
Saturday, June 8th, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
(Please read instructions, there are requirements for this class):
Never drawn before? Nervous about your level of skill? The workshop is designed for anyone at any level to get something out of it. No fear, just creative fun. My teaching style is to encourage you.
The subject will be a purple columbine. You are required to bring Prismacolor Colored Pencils with you. All other materials will be provided. You can save money by ordering individual pencils (rather than a multipack) and ordering online at https://www.dickblick.com/ or https://www.cheapjoes.com/. I strongly suggest ordering online, it is much more expensive at a store.
Colors you will need: parma violet (PC1008), violet (PC932), violet blue (PC933), imperial violet (PC1007), periwinkle (PC1025), black (PC935), limepeel (PC1005), warm gray (PC 1052), clay rose (PC1017), goldenrod (PC1034), and white (PC938). I will have a few collections of these for sale at the class if you are not be able to obtain them, but it is limited to 5 sets available, so please bring the required pencils.
Sing-up is required. There is a sign up sheet at church, you can also phone or email me.
The fee is $15 per person. Open to the public.
Address: Cross Road Baptist Church (enter at street level side door with railing on Chestnut St.) 201 S. 2nd St, Bangor, PA 18013.
Thursday, June 13th, 6:30-8:30.
Our subject will be an earthenware pitcher. We will be exploring the nuances of earth tones, with an emphasis on light and shade in a simple shape.
Never drawn before? Nervous about your level of skill? The workshop is designed for anyone at any level to get something out of it. No fear or negativity, just creative fun. My teaching style is to encourage you.
Mark your calendars, bring a friend. The $20 per person fee covers all the materials, all is provided for you by Bloom.
32 Broadway, Bangor, PA 18013.
Parking: There is street parking on Broadway, however, if you have trouble finding a space there is a parking lot directly across from the Valero gas station on 191. Google "Valero, 133 S 1st St (191), Bangor, PA 18013", the lot is across the street from the gas station. After you park there, pay the meter at the sidewalk according to the space number where you parked. Walk left from lot until you get to the corner of Broadway, then turn right and walk down until you get to Bloom. Its not too far, about 5 minute walk.
